The Saxegothaea conspicua, commonly known as the Prince Albert’s Yew, is a rare evergreen conifer native to the temperate rainforests of Chile and Argentina. It features graceful, drooping branches covered in small, glossy dark green needles, giving it a delicate, feathery appearance. This slow-growing tree develops a straight trunk with smooth, reddish-brown bark that becomes furrowed with age. Adapted to cool, humid environments, it thrives in shaded areas and well-draining soils. Due to its rarity and elegant form, this ornamental conifer is prized for landscaping, shade gardens, and conservation projects.
