This issue of the journal titled *“Quaderni del Dipartimento di Progettazione Architettonica e Ambientale – Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II” (1996) presents a thematic exploration of graphic representation, focusing on the dual roles of boundaries and centralities in architectural and urban drawing. It investigates how graphic devices delineate edges, centres and transitions within built environments, discussing both theoretical frameworks and operational practices. With contributions from faculty and students, the volume situates graphic representation at the intersection of morphology, perception and project‑making, making it relevant for studies of architectural drawing, design methodology and spatial communication.
